Base Camp Rental

Four burners on the go

Our Base Camp, the Kyuquot Field Station can be rented for a range of uses, as long as it fits with our pattern of living in harmony with the local ecosystem, the community, and other visitors to the area. So, hosting a rock concert or ATV race might just fall outside of possible uses!

Our comfortable capacity is 10 to 12 guests, but depending on familiarity of the group with one another (e.g., a family reunion), we can offer shared tent accommodation with beds for up to 16 guests. With additional tents (just back from the prime waterfront sites) and mattresses on the ground, for shorter periods of 2 or 3 days, we can host 20+ guests... though the kitchen shelter then becomes very cozy!

Flat rate rental of the Kyuquot Field Station, including all meals and staffing to maintain camp systems (shower, kitchen organization, freezer, generator, solar power system for radios, potable water, washing water, outhouses, etc.) and provide local knowledge (not guiding), is $1545/d for a maximum group size of 12 and a minimum of 3 days - this does not include kayak rental, guiding services, local water taxi use, or transportation to Kyuquot.  If more than 12 people, additional folks can be included at a rate of $100/person/day, up to a total group size of 20.

Please provide ample advance notice for any menu requests so that we can make all of the necessary arrangements and get your food to this remote location.
